Making cake in a crock pot?

So I know that you can make cake in a crock pot, and I've seen tons of recipes online for homemade ones...but what about just a simple store bought cake mix cake? I have some Betty Crocker box confetti cake mix...can I just mix all the ingredients together that it calls for and just pour it into the crock pot or do I need to do something else to it? And if so, then how long would I cook it?

Crock Pot Cake

Ingredients:

1 cake mix any brand any flavor

1 small box instant pudding use the same flavor as the cake

12 ounces sour cream

4 eggs

3/4 cups oil

1 cup water

Instructions:

Spray inside of crackpot with nonstick cooking spray. Mix all ingredients together and pour in crockpot. Cook on low for about 6 hours. Turn crockpot off and let sit for about 1 to 2 hours. Then you can flip it out onto a plate. If you do not let it cool long enough before taking it out of the crockpot half of it stays in the crock.

Since you have a confetti cake, I would use vanilla pudding mix.

all i know is it takes a couple of hours for it to cook so definetly just make it in the oven but if you really want to its fine to make it with cake mix just look up the exact amount of time cuz i cant remember

Whenever I Hear The Word Crock Pot I Think Beef Roast. So Cake In A Crock Pot Sounnds Gross but oh well

Wow. That's new. I didn't know that was possible.

With all do respect.... Why would you?
